Primary Responsibilities:
Paramount Tech is hiring a full-time, IBEW 403g Maintenance Technician position at the Ed Sullivan Theater
• Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, solving problems and repairing the technical production facilities at the Ed Sullivan Theater including: the control room, stage, graphics, EVS, cameras, wireless communications, Avid post-production systems, wired and wireless microphones, in-house RF distribution of TV signals throughout the building, Front of House/PA audio system, Music Mix, Monitor Mix, Post Audio, Sound Effects, Snapstream, Telestream, transcode and feed to the BC, Archive.
• Work with CBS Engineering on planning, installing and implementing technical capital projects.
• Coordinate with CBS IS&T on systems that are connected to the either the Production LAN or the Corporate LAN.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have at least 5 years of experience maintaining all aspects of a broadcast production facility including:
• Audio and video systems including Lawo, SSL, Digico and Yamaha digital audio consoles; wireless microphones and intercoms; Sony HDC-4300 cameras and Sony MVX 8000X production switcher; audio and video test gear and monitoring; Large scale LED screens and projectors along with the engine feeding these systems
• Post-Production, Graphics creation and playout, Clip and elements record/playback systems including Avid Media Composer and Isis; Ross Xpression; Adobe Creative Suite; EVS;;
• Audio/video signal processing and distribution including Evertz router; Telestream automated workflows and transcoding; RF modulated in-house head end; RF systems testing and remediation; IP encoded video and audio streams.
Additional Qualifications:
• Must be available to work late nights, weekends and company holidays as necessary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $118,768.00 - 118,768.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
