Overview and Responsibilities:
The purpose of the HR Manager role is to provide a proactive, business-focused, delivery to client groups within the International business based in the U.S., including the Streaming international population! Building great people relationships with key partners and supporting the business aligning key HR priorities.
The position will dual report into the VP HR Streaming International and the VP HR HQ Paramount International.
The role will serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues and successfully act as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The role builds effective relationships and partnerships across and outside the HR function to deliver valuable service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
• Ensuring strategic objectives and applying HR programs, policies and initiatives to deliver a best in class employee experience.
• The role is responsible for aligning strategic objectives with employees and management within the International business. This importance of this position in managing 360° HR activities, in close accordance with HR centralized team and coordinating with local business.
• Manage and maintain an efficient headcount plan, budget, and organization structure in line with the business plan.
• Serves as the main point of reference for employees and line managers for the process of the Performance Evaluation and Development Planning, Mentoring plans & career coaching programs. Additionally identifying training needs, and partnering with the wider Learning & Development team, supervising individual executive coaching needs and local development programs. Replacing key talent in line with Succession Planning, Talent mapping, and enabling the spread of a company culture.
• Partnering with Talent Acquisition on improving recruitment’s critical metrics while maintaining the approved budget.
• Litigation and employee relation management: employee relations support from internal conflicts, supporting and coaching leaders with the required tools and skills to manage people. Supervise litigations and relationship with external lawyer. Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Ensure proper implementation of compensation policies and local strategies in line with the overall HR and business strategies and consistency within the Group guidelines.
• Managing and advising on international assignments and relocations (end to end).
• Lead immigration process for clients in conjunction with legal counsel.
• Be an ambassador of the Company: support the spread of Paramount International culture, values and policies.
• Collaborating with the Compensation & Benefit teams, in terms of salary review plans, promotions, sales Incentives, Short-Term Incentive Plan, Retention plans. Proposals of new benefits, according to the local welfare’s law
• Partner with communications team to ensure internal communication channels and tools are in place to provide accurate information both internally and externally.
• Ensure HR Administration processes (payroll, employment contracts, health and safety) are followed with high standards, coordinating all of them with both internal and external partners.
• Participate and support HR projects; analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the local and International HR to develop and/or improve solutions, programs and policies.
Basic Qualifications:
• University degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years as an HR generalist.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment. Media industry experience and/or experience in a creative environment is desirable
Additional Qualifications:
• Proactive and able to own and drive HR cases as well as projects.
• Experienced with liaising with internal partners ideally as part of a global team, ability to lead through influence, and experience with facilitating decision-making.
• Ability to work independently, and as a team member, navigating the matrix environment we work! Capability to create and maintain effective and excellent relationships across the organization at all levels.

• Solid technical HR and employment legislation knowledge, with the ability to flex this knowledge for business needs

• Extensive experience working in a matrixed and international organization preferred.
