Director, Corporate Communications - Dei / Csr
Overview & Responsibilities:
The Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Communications will report to the SVP, Corporate Communications, and develop and drive the communications strategy for Paramount Global's DEI and CSR communications. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on communications professional to help amplify the voices of our global employees and develop plans that advance our commitment to inclusivity and philanthropy!
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Drive strategy and execution for DEI and CSR internal and external communications and other campaigns
• Collaborate with the Office of Global Inclusion, CSR leadership, and others on key internal partners on tactical planning and project management
• Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with business partners across departments and regions
• Collaborate with our global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to communicate key initiatives. Support and elevate the voice and programs of our ERGs within key internal and external channels through integrated storytelling to ensure a strategic approach to all our communications, including advising on communication strategy and style
• Manage core protocols, documents, and principles that bring efficiency and support streamlined workflow across brands
• Have a “pulse†on the organization â€'' understanding how employees are thinking and feeling to better communicate key initiatives and objectives
• Develop and implement plans that position key partners as internal and external thought leaders.
• Identify global and regional events, awards and opportunities. Manage participation parameters and criteria, and support submission process
• Work across a variety of teams and coordinate several projects simultaneously
• Partner across the company with the broader communications teams build consensus and ensure alignment across all communications both internal and external.
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 years of Communications, PR, or related experience
• Global experience & cross-cultural mentality with a strong understanding of how to strategically plan communications that resonate across multiple markets worldwide
• Established track record managing large, matrixed projects while leading and developing teams
Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to manage and work with senior-level executives
• Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges
• Self-starter approach to work; ability to work in an ambiguous environment and deliver results
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including press releases, bylined articles and presentation skills
• Strong media relations skills and the ability to pitch and manage press requests
• Strategic and committed to achieving results by delivering high-quality initiatives to tight deadlines, in a pressurized environment
• Experience developing, leading and measuring the impact of campaigns
• Capacity to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative
• Strategic problem solver with the ability to think big picture and dive into the details
• Bachelor's degree preferred
