Overview & Responsibilities:
Do you love listening to podcasts? As a member of the ViacomCBS Podcast team, the Marketing Coordinator will work to grow, sustain, and engage ViacomCBS podcast audiences by supporting podcast launches and related marketing initiatives! This coordinator will report to the Director of Podcast Marketing and work in close collaboration with brand marketing leads from across all of our brands including AwesomenessTV, BET, CBS Sports, CBS News, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Studios, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, and others!
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Director to develop a marketing strategy to sustain and grow audience across the existing portfolio of ViacomCBS podcasts
• Collaborate with various brand marketing teams to develop and execute strategic, multidimensional marketing campaigns for podcast launches, re-brands, and other tentpoles
• Produce promotional assets including, but not limited to social graphics and audio promo scripts
• Assist in the coordination of podcast promotion with third-party podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
• Conduct market research and monitor competitors' marketing activities
• Assist with the compilation of podcast performance data and after-action reports to show the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion within the team and the wider organization
• Be knowledgeable of how our podcast content is presented in various podcasting and streaming applications
• Monitor and track promotional coverage (podcast app, press, etc.) of podcasts
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience working in marketing (bonus if within the audio or podcast industry) (Strong internship experience considered)
