The role involves three main areas of responsibility:
Asset /Archive Dispostition:
• Manages the collection, storage, tracking, disposition and sale of all assets (construction, set dressing, props, wardrobe, hair and make-up, general stock, IT equipment, etc.) for every feature production
• Distributes all Green Carbon Tracking and Department Pledges, per feature, to Government Affairs
• Trains production department heads on proper procedure for asset disposition, storage and liquidation
• Manages all asset pulls, loan out agreements, and bill of sale approvals during post-production and marketing phases
• Provides and/or compiles all necessary invoices, bill of sales and contracts as required by audit
• Researches, maintains and negotiates deals with vendors to assist in the sale of wardrobe, set deco, etc
• Tracks asset sale profits. Audit vendors as needed. Prepare quarterly reports
Warehouse/Strike Management:
• Oversees and manages two standing warehouses in LA (totaling 70,000 sq. ft) which house an estimated $25MM in assets
• Budgets, supervises and coordinates the storage and strike of all assets from productions filmed on location (Domestic/International)
• Manages the warehouse foreman and all freelance strike crews, including coordinating, processing and approving and coding all payroll paperwork
• Implements all Safety/OHSA and Guild requirements
General Research and Support:
• Maintains and amends Physical Production Coordinators Manual
• Researches and coordinates off-site production office space for productions as needed. Prepare budgets for Production Executives
• Assists in establishing and implementing production policies and procedures, including content protection, BTL deal rate research and two of the lot charts, reviewing deal memos
Basic Qualifications
• 7 years' experience in physical production management at a film or TV studio
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Additional Qualifications
• Proficiency with Word and Excel software
