Marketing Technology is a technical group within Marketing that primarily supports non-technical stakeholders. The team works across all of Paramount Pictures to provide technical resources, website applications, data processing, code audits, and general consultation for public-facing initiatives and audiences. The group connects creative marketing teams, policy compliance, corporate communications, and external development agencies with the focus on delivering interactive digital experiences online. Key projects include ParamountPictures.com, TopGunMovie.com, ParamountMovies.com, and the rest of our worldwide movie marketing sites and experiences.
• Approximately 25% of work will involve: assisting with various marketing technology requests that are movie and television project related, including technical kickoff calls with 3rd party vendors, code review of theatrical websites, application testing, and data audits.
• Approximately 25% work will involve: A development project building a new custom internal tool to help with marketing data analysis.
• Approximately 20% of work will involve: manual data ingestion and migration from legacy applications using a web-based content management system.
• Approximately 15% work will involve: A research project on changing technical web standards and best practices.
• Approximately 15% work will involve: Writing new and refreshing outdated documentation.
Requirements:
• Obtaining an undergrad or graduate degree with a minor in Computer Science or relevant coursework experience
• A moderate understanding of the PHP programing language with some front-end coding experience.
• An ability to understand complex technical systems and explain them in an easy-to-understand and concise manner.
• Comfortable reading and understanding of other developers’ code and documentation.
• Required knowledge of PHP 7 and HTML
• Preferred experience with GitHub, Google Analytics, JavaScript, and API Integration
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $38.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
