JOB DESCRIPTION
Direct financial planning & analysis, capital planning, and strategy & decision support within Paramount Pictures' Studio Group division, reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Planning. This position directly supports Production Services, Consumer Services, and Set Lighting & Grip businesses.
Lead preparation of annual operating budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, variance analyses, and various strategic assessments in support of Paramount Pictures' Production Services, Consumer Services, and Set Lighting & Grip business units
Support capital planning efforts for assigned business units: model investment/return analyses, prepare capital approval documentation, and ensure successful capital approval
Responsible for long-range strategic plans and initiatives for assigned business units including identification and analysis of business growth opportunities and investments
Identify opportunities and inefficiencies to drive overall profitability
''Own'' various recurring processes and tasks: KPIs, weekly ''flash'' reporting, monthly performance results, and quarterly budget & forecast presentations
Maintain reporting frameworks and tools, working cross-functionally with various business partners to determine and address their analytics needs
Maintain excellent working relationships with executives, operational business partners, other Paramount/ViacomCBS peers, colleagues, and resources
QUALIFICATIONS
MBA preferred
5 years (post-MBA) professional experience with emphasis in FP&A, corporate finance, pro forma modeling, and financial statement analysis
Experience in operations-intensive businesses (studio operations, real estate, hospitality)
Excellent analytical skills and a competency with financial planning and investment analysis concepts
Requires strong time management & organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively balance and execute on multiple competing priorities
Expert-level Excel modeling and PowerPoint ''deck-writing'' skills
Familiarity with corporate accounting systems (SAP, Hyperion) is a plus
Passion for the entertainment industry!
