The Technology Department of Paramount Animation provides critical support in creating imaginative, animated feature films. Our technology and the support of that technology are the key components of film making that allow our artists to fulfill their artistic goals and enables film makers to create unforgettable film experiences.
• Design, develop, debug and maintain software, written mostly in C++ and Python, using state-of-the art algorithms and procedures.
• Software may be stand-alone or plug-ins to third-party packages such as Maya, Houdini and Nuke.
• Write documentation, demonstrate and instruct production staff on use of software.
• Research possible new methods to improve quality of CG product, to improve productivity of CG production staff or to improve software development itself.
Requirements:
• Computer Science major or Art Design major with a minor in Computer Science
• Interest and/or experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry.
• Strong programming skills.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Object Oriented Programming, Model/View/Controller framework.
• Interest and/or experience with Maya, Houdini or other 3rd Party Animation Systems.
• Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups.
