Full Time Job
In collaboration with the Booking Agent, the Assistant will contribute to the overall efficiency of the company by assisting in the whole tour booking process.
Responsibilities include:
• Tour preparation (helping to build and analyze routings, gathering venue holds, establishing contact with concert promoters).
• Assisting in negotiation (soliciting offers, obtaining feedback from promoters, communicating adjustments in offer conditions to help finalize bookings, sending official confirmations).
• Fulfillment and administration (drafting and issuing contracts, gathering and verifying concert details, preparing tour itineraries, setting announcement and on sale dates, maintaining and providing marketing assets, tracking deposits, gathering and monitoring weekly ticket counts, gathering marketing plans, verifying concert finals and feedback, updating and reconciling artist statements).
• Advancing production (communicating with artist teams, verifying production schedules and details with promoters, maintaining artist riders, verifying payment terms, generally assisting the overall smooth execution of the artist production).
• Artist Immigration, work permits and withholding tax.
• Other tasks (assisting in activities relating to music industry conferences, festivals and trade shows, maintaining company website and social media platforms, attending concerts, helping manage client relations, maintaining material inventory, basic bookkeeping, general office administration).
Requirements:
• Ability to communicate (written and orally) in both English and French.
• Strong interest in live music and learning about the development of an artist's career via live touring.
• General word processing and spreadsheet skills (MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop).
• Some level of experience within the live music industry (concert promotion, touring as an artist, tour management, etc).
