Full Time Job
The IT Event Manager role will be the main point of contact for setup and operation of technology used during a hosted event here at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The core responsibility will be the setup and tear down of the PS&E IT supported technology before and after the events. This includes being courtside for games and events to provide technical support. The right individual will help to detail the standard processes leveraged during event setup as well as the create troubleshooting guides for situations that arise during the events. In addition, this position will provide desktop support for PS&E end users and work on technology-based projects as needed.
This role will work with internal and external resources to ensure PS&E stays up to date with the latest technology required to successfully operate premiere, outstanding events. In addition, the role will work with PS&E Event Management, Media Relations and the rest of the IT team to ensure our events are fully supported. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including events that occur on evenings, weekends and some holidays.
This is an Information Technology role and to that end, this role must have general technical skills, as well as depth in one of the following: Software Development, Server Management, Network Engineering or Desktop support.
To be successful in this role, this individual must perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:
• set up technology, including computers, printers, NBA Stats gear and specialty equipment
• troubleshoot and mitigate technology issues as they arise
• work with other event support teams to ensure overall event success
• create and maintain event setup and teardown documentation
• create and maintain troubleshooting guides for common event issues
• provide hands-on technical support of PSE employees
• learn and grow as a technologist
Required skills and experience include:
• proven technical skills in one or more of the following: network systems, server administration, desktop support or solution development.
• proven ability to work within a team as well as individually
• demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
• bachelor's degree in technology or equivalent industry experience
• a passion for technology

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in technology and/or equivalent industry experience. In addition, this position requires:
• proven ability to work within a team as well as individually
• demonstrable excellent written and verbal communication skills
• a passion for technology and ability to learn new technology quickly
• ability to work a flexible schedule and events some evenings, weekends and holidays
• ability to work effectively under pressure and under tight timelines or deadlines
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS:
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions, reports and technical manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers; must be customer-service oriented. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Knowledge to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as making change, analyzing costs, figuring statistics, and making area measurements.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret directions and technical diagrams.
PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
