Full Time Job
Pac-12 Networks' Social Media Manager owns the Pac-12’s social media strategy and leads others in its execution. He or she will orchestrate social media production and curation across a wide spectrum of stakeholders including the Pac-12 Conference, Pac-12 Networks and our 12 member schools. The right person for the role will be a leader with creative flair, superior communication and relationship-building skills, and a track record of success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
OWN
• Lead social strategy aligned with Pac-12 objectives. Connect fans to the Pac-12 teams and sports they love.
• Drive KPIs including engagement, reach, video views, and duration
• Develop strong working relationships with peers in Sales, Marketing, PR
• Manage and build a team of Social Media Producers, schedule their work, and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to ideate branded content concepts and other monetization opportunities. Plot (calendar) elements and communicate to the production team.
• Provide member schools with superior service including best practices, shared content, and instruments
• Curate relationships with at 3rd party social platforms and build on our tradition of innovation with them
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
ORCHESTRATE
• Live streaming on multiple social platforms -- what goes where, when and why, and required technology
• Social audience insights reporting for influencing campaigns and content development
• Production of branded content elements
• Paid social media marketing budgets, campaign creation and maintenance, and reporting
• Pac-12 Networks’ talent social personas, audiences, and guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a sports fanatic and social media omnivore
• Proven ability to generate and curate content that engages sports fans on a variety of social media platforms
• Experience implementing social media marketing campaigns
• A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience, with at least two years as a social media guru
• BA or BS degree
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners
• Willingness to work odd hours as dictated by sports’ news cycle including evenings and weekends.
