Full Time Job
Pac-12 Networks’ Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing multiple strategic marketing & media plans in order to increase viewership and grow the fan base within a collegiate media company landscape.
Responsibilities:
• Manage marketing, media buying, and promotional efforts within the sports & entertainment content arena with the goal of driving tune-in to Pac-12 Networks via various platforms.
• Implement and execute strategic marketing plans in order to build Pac-12 Networks’ fan base and retain existing fans.
• Lead research efforts on weekly basis with data collection and analysis from internal and external sources, build out dashboards, spreadsheets & deliver results to the team.
• Serve as project manager on assigned media campaigns
• Serve as the marketing point person with sales and partner services interfacing with both departments on a daily basis, helping to ideate, strategize, assist in campaign management and ultimately help drive revenue.
• Strong focus on social & digital marketing to ensure Pac-12 Networks are well represented and relevant in this space.
• Partner with creative and promos staff.
• Schedule & contribute to brainstorming and ideation sessions.
• Submit all creative requests for linear, digital, radio, and print creative.
• Coordinate with creative on the production timelines and delivery for all promotional elements for affiliates, ad sales, events, and media buys.
• Guide execution of and traffic creative assets for internal and external marketing mediums.
• Write copy (on occasion) for various marketing materials.
• Create presentations on the team’s behalf.
• Manage assigned marketing budgets.
• Support overall marketing goals, objectives and media landscape strategies determined by the Marketing Director.
• Liaison with third-party media organizations, vendors, agencies.
• Look beyond outlined campaigns/tasks to connect dots throughout the organization to move our business forward (innovation, stakeholder relations, etc.)
• Assist on ad hoc projects upon request.
• Manage intern.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Marketing or Vice President, Marketing.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of consumer marketing and/or agency experience in media/TV landscape
• Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects, in different stages, concurrently
• Must meet deadlines consistently, and be results-driven.
• Detail-oriented, strong organization and project management skills.
• Must be able to handle tactical and executional efforts.
• Must take the initiative.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exudes grace and confidence under pressure.
• Must be a collaborative team player.
• Digital Media background preferred.
• Sports knowledge required. Experience with a former media company preferred.
