Reporting to the President of Pac-12 Networks, the Head of Integrated Marketing & Sales will have oversight of digital sales, linear sales, and vertically integrated sponsorships for Pac-12 Networks.
S/he will manage a high touch sales team . Along with this group, s/he will manage oversight with Home Team Sports, the national sales representative firm, and World Link, the direct response firm. S/he will be responsible for ensuring delivery on all digital, linear and vertically integrated sponsorship sales and specifically will:
• Develop a strategic concept and direction and execute annual sponsorship and advertising revenue budgets/plans, and achieve revenue objectives;
• Identify new opportunities for digital growth and create strategic roadmap;
• Lead creative pricing, social packaging, and strategic partnership programs to expand revenue opportunities;
• Lead creative development and strategic positioning of customized sponsorship packages to include at-retail activation opportunities for fully developed integrated marketing with sponsors ;
• Lead contact with sponsors, advertisers, and advertising agencies, marketing the network brand to highlight its audience position vis a vis the competition. Continually build on its brand position and communicate its uniquely targeted media proposition;
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of experienced sales and service executives;
• Evaluate sales organizational structure, compensation plan, sales training and development, sales planning process and reporting systems to enhance sales staff performance and maximize revenues;
• Collaborate with networks marketing, programming, production, digital, and research departments to capitalize on revenue-building opportunities across functional areas;
• Work collaboratively with senior management. Must take advantage of all network programming/revenue opportunities and contribute to the development of future revenue-enhancing business opportunities;
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the President.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years in sales management, preferably in a media, digital or sports-related business;
• An energetic, experienced, strategically oriented sales professional with a proven track record in exceeding goals in sales, vert ical ly integrated sponsorships, and sales management;
• Proven abilities at growing and developing advertising and sponsorship sales with a strong customer-relationship focus, and exceptional leadership skills with a reputation for creative sales and marketing expertise;
• Experience in developing customized programs that drive deals cross-platform (online, mobile, social and television);
• A total understanding of the financials for the business, with highly developed skills at putting together complex packages and deals and being able to negotiate and manage the process from beginning to end with a real win/win style;
• Demonstrated experience and skills in building a budget, putting together accurate revenue projections and delivering on those projections consistently;
• Considerable prior experience putting together and selling creative, multi-platform media packages that significantly extend the impact of the program;
• Strong customer-driven relationships with key national accounts, agencies. and media buying firms;
• Strong new business development orientation and ability to build and nurture client relationships;
