MARKETING MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION

Ovation TV is seeking a stellar Marketing Manager to support its SVP across multiple marketing disciplines, including
1) On Air Promotions
2) Consumer Marketing
3) Integrated Marketing/Sales Development
4) Ovation Brand
In this position, you will support the SVP through all project stages; including strategic development, creative development/execution, project management/production and trafficking. Working cross-departmentally you will have the opportunity to interact throughout the company and at all levels, while supporting Ovation's brand positioning, value proposition and reinforcing its marketing strategy.
Scope of Responsibilities
• On Air Promotions
o Working with Media Services on weekly promo priorities and support tactics (i.e promos, vignettes, snipes, squeezebacks, etc)
o Track all projects to ensure on-time delivery
o Weekly overview of promo priorities and effectiveness
o Creative/Message development
o Quality assurance
• Integrated Marketing / Sales Development
o Support integrated marketing needs tied to Upfront and Scatter activities
o Brainstorm ideas for brand integration/sponsorship (inbound RFPs and proactive pitches)
o Development of related pitch materials/decks
o Support other marketing needs related to Sales objectives; i.e. branded gifts, custom activations, events, client entertaining opportunities, more
• Consumer Marketing
o Support SVP on off-channel media campaigns including; paid media plans, creative development, asset delivery & versioning, non-traditional opportunities and experiential
o Development of internal communications
o Timeline management
o Manages barter agreements
• Digital
o Works closely with the Digital and Social team to ensure they are aligned with Marketing priorities
o Assists them with ongoing projects
• Affiliate
o Supports Affiliate team with its ongoing creative needs.
• General
o Act as the conduit between departments & informing them of upcoming marketing priorities and opportunities. Seeks internal intel as needed.
o Assure all departments have knowledge of, and access to, all mandatory marketing assets
o Support SVP on all PPT needs (marketing strategy, show specific campaigns, executive summaries, etc) to succinctly summarize priorities and action plans
o Project management of existing campaigns; including in-house & third-party entities, creative and production briefs/request forms, timelines, calendars and project logistics
o Obtains appropriate signoffs as needed (creative, programming, legal, sales, etc)
o Assists throughout the workflow of all marketing initiatives; including network brand guidelines, digital activations, short-form content and other relevant collateral
o Attends meetings and conference calls as needed. Outlines objectives and next steps cross-departmentally / externally as needed
o Briefing potential vendors
o Budget tracking
Qualifications
• BA in Marketing/Advertising/Communications
• 5+ years previous experience in Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Agency and/or On Air Promotions in the media space
• Excellent project management and people skills
• Strong aptitude in the convergent media space; including on-air, digital, social, mobile. Understands how a marketing program travels through a multi-touchpoint ecosystem
• PowerPoint expert. Understands how to create strategic & visually impactful presentations
• Excellent writing skills
• Organized, strong attention to detail, and works well under deadline while managing multiple projects at the same time
• A strong creative mind and problem solver
• Analytical - knows how to work with a Research department to determine strategies and ''finding the appropriate story''
• Comfortable working autonomously - must be self-driven
