Director Programming Research
Qualifications:
5+ years of television research experience
Expertise in all media concepts and media math
Experience in cross platform research
Must work well under deadline pressure while handling multiple projects.
Strong leadership acumen, flexible, ability to translate research into strategy.
Thorough knowledge of Nielson Nationals systems, Myevents, Star Trak and Gripit
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited and recognized institution of high learning is required with advanced degree ideal.
Job Description:
Ovation has an immediate opening for a Director of Research to oversee the production and dissemination of all research materials as they pertain to programming and scheduling, finance, PR, marketing, affiliate sales and affiliate marketing.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
• Lead and develop research department/staff
• Project movie/ TV series ratings delivery to assist in acquisition of content
• Project all day parts on a monthly/ quarterly basis
• Lead team in performing interpretive analyses to transform data into insight. Communicate findings through written and in-person presentations.
• Regularly disseminate (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly) various research reports that analyze the network and programming
• Create reports specific to special tent pole programming (Versailles, etc.)
• Oversee all stages of show-based primary research including design, fieldwork, analysis and interpretation of research studies including program tests, as well as other qualitative and quantitative studies
• Analyze data in a way that will be insightful and meaningful to various departments to help affect change in programming, marketing, promotions, etc., including costs analysis, media flight analysis, promotion analysis, etc.
• Liaise with other department heads to ensure research department is utilizing all resources to help all departments be more effective
