Full Time Job
We are looking for an experienced and customer service-oriented SysAdmin to join our team of IT professionals at the Oklahoma City Thunder. As the Systems Administrator, you will handle administration of the company's server, SAN, and cloud infrastructure! In this diverse position you will also work with the IT and other teams on projects, customer support, A/V and NBA game technology. In this role you will:
• Manage, configure, and secure Thunder servers, cloud infrastructure, storage and backups
• Promote and implement IT security standards, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies
• Support DevOps and Data Analytics infrastructure, tools, and staff
• Proactively monitor systems to ensure availability, security, and integrity
• Set up, support, and monitor gameday and event technology
• Provide desktop, mobile, application and other technology support across a variety of platforms
• Independently research and self-educate on hardware, software, security, and industry trends
• Collaborate with IT and other staff to complete tasks and projects
• Deliver concise and clear verbal and written communication at all organizational levels
• Document systems and processes using SharePoint and helpdesk ticketing system
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned
What you'll bring to the role:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience in related field
• 5 years progressive experience managing and supporting on premise and cloud infrastructure
• 3 years administrative experience with AWS/Azure, Office 365 and other cloud providers preferred
• 3 years experience designing, configuring, and administering virtualized environments
• Advanced Windows Server and SAN administration experience preferred
• Experience performing common system administration tasks including account provisioning and removal, e-mail setup, and maintenance of distribution lists, security groups, and individual system and directory permissions
• Experience implementing cybersecurity standards and system hardening
• Detailed understanding of enterprise networking across multiple sites preferred
• Knowledge and experience with enterprise data backup and disaster recovery planning preferred
• Experience writing and using scripts (PowerShell, bash) as well as prior work with software deployment tools such as PDQ deploy, SCCM preferred
• Proficient in Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android platforms in an enterprise environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills-ability to deliver clear and effective messages to a variety of business partners
• Highly organized with good time management skills and attention to detail
• A positive demeanor and ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience successfully maintaining the integrity of highly confidential information and sensitive data and systems
• A calm demeanor and the ability to focus and achieve outcomes in a dynamic environment that may include high stress or demanding deadlines
Additional details:
Work schedule will include office hours plus work for all home games and events that will include evenings, weekends and holidays. Physical requirements of the job may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, working long shifts, close vision, distance vision and color vision, traversing stairs or ladders and working in-arena during games which may include loud music, crowd noise and flashing or strobe lights. Driver's license and reliable transportation are required as trips to other locations around the metro will be common. Primary work location will be the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager, Information Technology.
