Full Time Job
Join our sales team working in the dynamic world of professional sports. As an Account Executive, Group Sales, you will help build an exciting in-arena atmosphere by connecting with fans and filling the arenas for Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma City Blue home games. You will work with a team of professionals dedicated to building meaningful personal connections with our fans. Your focus will be creating and selling group experiences and discovering what it takes to build a sense of satisfaction and loyalty to earn repeat client business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sell Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma City Blue tickets with an emphasis on group experiences
• Collaborate with team members from other departments to organize and implement the details of group night events
• Perform group sales responsibilities at all home games including entertaining clients, fulfilling group obligations, pursuing new business opportunities, and answering client service and sales questions at the Thunder Sales Booth and around the arena
• Attend team and community events to engage with current and potential clients and maximize sales opportunities
• Generate new business through cold calling, off-site appointments, networking opportunities and other Thunder- and Blue-related events
• Sell inventory to special projects (concerts, events) upon request
• Build relationships to encourage repeat business and provide excellent guest service
• Recognize future sales opportunities and use creativity to generate business and support team goals
• Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing clients
• Meet pre-determined individual and departmental sales and activity goals
• Document sales calls, appointments and sales transactions using CRM software
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
and Requirements:
• 2-4 years of selling experience in professional sports strongly preferred
• Demonstrated track record in sales and building quality relationships
• Capable of taking on multiple projects, assignments and group events with exceptional results
• Ability to work effectively with time constraints and collaborate with others to accomplish goals and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to be a good listener
• Possess excellent presentation skills including strong oral and written communication and confidence speaking in front of groups
• Be able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunities
• Maintain and reflect a positive attitude, working well in a team environment
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must be able to maintain a work schedule that includes regular office hours as well as evenings, weekends and holidays as required by the game and event schedules
This is a full time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager, Group and Season Ticket Sales.
