EPISODIC COORDINATOR
The Episodic Coordinator will work closely with the Line Producer and/or Production Manager to ensure all tasks involved in the episode production pipeline are executed in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Production Supervisors to track and drive episodes through the production pipeline all the way to post-production.
- Manage Day-to-Day Filemaker and/or tracker inputs
- Break down scripts for maximum producibility before storyboards and designs start.
- Assist the Production supervisors with following the overall production schedule and maintaining quotas and deadlines for various stages of production
- Follow company procedures to ensure workflow from one department to the next is as smooth and consistent as possible.
- Work with Overseas Vendors as needed to coordinate the delivery of episodes and the receipt of animation shots.
- Performs artist check-ins to determine status of the work in the department.
- Effectively communicates with artists regarding timelines. Directs employees in prioritizing tasks when necessary.
- Coordinates crew meetings.
- Takes notes during rounds and distributes information to the department afterwards.
- Track all notes for completion and approval
- Distribute all notes, redlines and designs to the Overseas Vendors
- Provides communications to the crew via email, one-on-one meetings and during crew meetings.
- Stays aware of issues on the production floor and elevates information appropriately to the Production Supervisor.
- Able to navigate the internet and asset browser. Able to pull up shots and models and manages technical issues during rounds and approvals. Learning the necessary computer programs and network directory system.
- Understands the pipeline and where department fits in.
- May attend production meetings and provides departmental updates.
- Contributes information for department and production evaluations as required.
- Supports studio and production directives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work remotely but also commute to Glendale, CA if needed
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Zoom, Skype, Gmail and knowledge of production tracking databases is preferred.
- Knowledge of Maya, Filemaker, Photoshop and/or Illustrator is a plus.
- 2+ years of previous Episodic Animation production experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to lead and delegate assignments
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and electronically) with all staff, vendors and clients
- Must be able to be organized and efficient in a fast-paced working environment
- Must be able to execute priority tasks on or before deadlines
- Must be able to use and navigate the aforementioned software proficiently
