Full Time Job
The Senior Analyst, Royalties manages our relationship with Licensors, ensuring that the internal royalty process works efficiently, that all payments are made and deadlines met, for US and International royalties, on a timely basis.
Responsibilities:
Administration
Oversees the royalty statement process, including error reconciliation, internal statement review and statement finalization
Manages the preparation of manual statements that are processed outside of the royalty system
Ensures that any administration changes are accurately entered into the royalty system in order to set up Licensors (publishing and label) in accordance with the contract terms
Oversees the processing of retroactive publishing information, including song split percentages, in the song database
Identifies gaps and areas for process improvements
Directs royalty and ad hoc analysis and special projects
Payments
Ensures all royalty statements are processed and mailed on time
Manages the tracking of contractual advances and recoupments, and ensure they are paid in accordance with existing contracts
Coordinates payment requests with our AP department and obtains approval from VP Controller to meet contractual deadlines
Oversees the coordination of royalty statement distributions
Customer Service
Responds to and resolves inquiries in a timely fashion
Works with AP to resolve issues with incorrect Licensor information (address/banking details)
Works with the Licensing department to ensure copyright information is accurate and licenses are secured
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Five years of music royalties experience (experience in background music and international royalties a plus) including royalty system and statement generation experience
Required Skills/Competencies:

Knowledge of and experience working with key music industry players (labels, publishers and societies)

Strong sense of professional ethics, discretion and confidentiality
Strong computer and analytical skills, must be proficient using Microsoft Office, especially Excel (i.e., V-Lookup, If-Then statements, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
Preferences:
Domestic travel may be required from time to time

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
