Ticket Seller Representative

The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a seasonal, hourly Part-Time Ticket Seller Representative to sell single game tickets and support our ticket office at the Oakland Coliseum. Additional duties may include processing ticket orders and providing customer service to ticket holders in person or over the phone. This position will report directly to the Box Office Coordinator and Ticket Operations Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Sell day of game and advance tickets for all Oakland A's home games and events using Tickets.com ticketing system.
• Search ticketing system for events, tickets within events, and applicable discount codes.
• Enter patron contact information to build new accounts within the ticketing system or search for existing accounts in ticketing system database.
• Printing tickets purchased online or over the phone that were set up for 'will call pick up' in the ticketing system.
• For customer service purposes, seller may be required to exchange seats in the ticketing system.
• Ticket Seller will be responsible for signing out and balancing a cash drawer during each shift.
• Ticket Seller will be responsible for maintaining the security of their ticketing system computer login and daily cash drawer.
• Ticket Seller will provide superior customer service to Oakland A's patrons in person at the A's Box Office, and anywhere the seller is in uniform on property.
• Ticket seller will be required to learn the seating configuration of the stadium and the location of various amenities in Oakland Coliseum, and all company policies related to single ticket offers.
• Ticket Seller may be required to direct game day lines and flow of people between box office windows or automated kiosks and entry gates.
• Ticket Seller may be required to offer customers special deals including seat upgrades and discounts on special events or merchandise.
• Seller will provide overall Ticket Operations and Ticket Services assistance as needed.
• Seller will represent the organization in a professional manner, consistent with company philosophies and culture.
• Additional duties may include:
Support for A's Access Members selling additional season tickets and parking passes, processing ticket exchanges, issuing A's Access credentials, and troubleshooting all season ticket orders as needed.
• Answer incoming phone calls as needed on both game day and non-game day in a professional and polite manner with the ability to answer all ticket and fan related questions.
• Work with, and maintain season, group, and individual ticket accounts for the Oakland A's.
• Develop proficiency with all digital ticketing initiatives, including My A's Tickets and MLB.com Ballpark App.
• Provide overall Ticket Operations and Ticket Services assistance as needed.
Qualifications

• Ability to perform work in a fast-paced sales environment
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous customer service experience, especially in person retail sales
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Candidates must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
• Demonstrated computer proficiency
• Ability to work flexible hour including nights, weekends and holidays
