Technology Innovation Associate Product Manager, Fan Experience
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a product manager to join our Technology org. The Technology org is tasked with revitalizing systems and infrastructure which power the fan experience at the Coliseum, internal business processes, and baseball operations. This team is also responsible for building out a next generation technology experience for our new ballpark in Oakland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the product manager, you will help shape ''fan experience'' from a technology perspective and build out a multi-quarter roadmap in conjunction with our Business Strategy team. You will also help identify gaps in internal business systems and provide input on technology investments needed to support business strategy. Specific responsibilities include:
Fan Experience
• Shape the fan experience roadmap from a technology perspective
• Own projects on fan experience roadmap, and deliver a best in class fan experience
• Research UX across the entire fan lifecycle
• Define and build critical user journeys, and determine worthy technology investments
• Evangelize a fan experience technology roadmap throughout the organization
Business Systems
• Contribute to organization-wide roadmap for internal business systems
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate business process
• Document and design key user journeys in business systems
• Support internal stakeholders in building business cases for technology investment
• Provide project management support to system evaluations and implementations
QUALIFICATIONS
• BS in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• MBA or related professional degree is a plus, but not required
• 0-3 years of software product management experience
• Working knowledge of user-centered design and development of critical user journeys
• Familiarity with SQL or a scripting language (e.g., PHP, Python, etc.)
• Ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with project management frameworks (e.g., waterfall, scrum)
