Description:
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking individuals passionate about baseball and sports administration for the Office of the President Intern position in Oakland, California. This position will report to the Executive Administrator, Office of the President. Interns will work closely with the Office of the President and External Affairs department. The internship will run roughly from beginning in May through August 2019, with flexible start and end dates.
Responsibilities:
• Handle Gameday responsibilities for President and Office of the President staff
• Organize hard copies of all new ballpark related materials and upload them to the cloud
• Work with External Affairs department on staying up to date on local events
• Collaborate with the other interns in the organization on special projects
• Assist with events hosted by the Office of the President
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
/Requirements:
• Candidate must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student of an accredited college or university or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment
• Excellent relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated, positive attitude, collaborative in nature
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and game days
• Knowledge of the Oakland, CA area preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related software skills
• Excellent verbal, communication and problem-solving skills.
