Full Time Job
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a Full-Time ETL Developer. The ETL Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the processes that move business data between various source systems, the A's Data Warehouse, and our various business intelligence tools. This work will include writing stored procedures, documenting data flows, and writing complex queries against our Data Warehouse to answer business questions.
This position will report directly to the Director of Business Analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Write stored procedures, create views, and design processes to move data between various source systems and A's Data Warehouse and BI layer
* Document code and nightly data processes
* Work with departments to evaluate reporting needs and develop a streamlined process to achieve their reporting needs per specified deadlines.
* Design and develop automated processes to perform scheduled tasks, ETL, data validation and maintenance activities.
* Communicate insights and recommend areas for further data platform enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
* 1-3 years experience writing SQL and data integrations (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics or related field preferred
* Experience working with REST APIs, Amazon Web Services, and Python (Pandas, Requests, boto, etc.)
* Experience with a BI/Visual Analytics Tool (Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlik)
* Experience with a CRM system (Salesforce/Dynamics)
* Experience with a data science toolkit (scikit-learnt, R, etc.) preferred
