Digital Marketing Coordinator (Sales)
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator (Sales) for its Marketing Team. This full-time position will partner with MLB Advanced Media and serve as a conduit between the Ticket Sales and Marketing departments and ensure that digital marketing initiatives are completed in a timely manner.
This position will report into the Marketing Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with MLB Advanced Media on athletics.com site, email content and updates, while ensuring consistent brand voice and graphic look and feel
- Serve as main conduit between Ticket Sales and Marketing Departments
- Work with Brand & Customer Acquisition Departments to track and review website, email and paid analytics, including: open rates and clicks to suggest best practices to optimize goals: fan engagement, follower growth and ROI
- Assist with digital advertising and marketing efforts, with particular emphasis on Ticket Sales initiatives
- Integrate emerging market trends, best practices, insights and recommendations into both traditional and new media platforms;
Create and source language, graphic and video content for digital platforms;
- Collaborate on social media content
REQUIREMENTS
- B.A. or B.S. required, preferably in Communications/Marketing/Advertising
- 2-4 years work experience preferred
- Experience, knowledge, and passion of technology and social media a must
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task with great attention to detail in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Ability to think strategically, in holistic detail, and have creative aptitude
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Adobe Suite & graphic design skills preferred
- Knowledge of sports industry preferred, though not required
- Candidate must be available to work various nights, weekends, and holidays to support key advertising and social media initiatives at games and other related events
