Box Office Coordinator
Description:
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a Full-Time, Box Office Coordinator to support our Ticket Operations staff in all aspects of ticketing. This position will report directly to the Director, Ticket Operations.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, and daily operations of box office and will call
staff, including staffing of all Oakland A's home games.
• Analyze ticket sales trends to determine box office and will call staffing levels as it pertains to
department budget.
• Learn, and maintain proficiency of ProVenue ticketing system, MyProVenue online sales
platform, and Ballpark app ticketing functionality.
• Coordinate ticket sales through all channels for spring training games, including season packages, groups, box office, and internal sales.
• Provide superior customer service to A's ticket buyers through all outlets and handle any ticket-
related issues including refunds and exchanges.
• Coordinate ticket processing and distribution for community ticketing initiatives and internal
ticket requests.
• Work closely with ticket operations staff and ticketing partner in ticket system setup and
maintenance.
• Assist in providing support for ticketing technical equipment including box office terminals, ticket
printers, kiosks, and scanners as needed.
• Assist with financial settlement, ticket system reporting, and auditing procedures.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of stadium seating configuration, pricing structure,
amenities, and fan policies to service all patron needs.
• Assist with processing and fulfilling season, group, suite, premium and hospitality orders.
• Represent the organization in a professional manner, consistent with company philosophies and
culture.
Qualifications
/Requirements:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; previous customer service experience is a plus
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and desire to work in sports
• Demonstrated computer proficiency, previous ticketing experience is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
