Full Time Job
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking an Associate for The CORE Program within our Ticket Sales Department. This an entry-level, training heavy role and is responsible for maximizing revenue for the Ticket Sales Department through proactive outbound sales of season tickets, group tickets and suites. This position will report to Director, The CORE.
THE CORE PROGRAM
The Oakland Athletics CORE Program offers full-time Associate positions that offers exposure to the business of sports, provides access to high-level executives within the A's and offers the career growth potential to successful individuals within the organization. Associates participate in special projects, as assigned, to support department objectives and is a rare opportunity to grow your professional sports sales career in an exciting and supportive training environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Meeting or exceeding sales goals with integrity, while surpassing client expectations in customer service
* Selling season ticket memberships, group tickets and suites to clients via outbound phone calls, face-to-face appointments, game day marketing, offsite networking events, incoming inquiries, etc.
* Performing game day duties, including: client visits, managing sales tables and assisting with department and organization events
* Representing the A's at offsite events to prospect for new business
* Collaborating with other departments and leaders within the A's organization
* Compliance with CRM, maintaining dashboards, working with systems on all campaigns and initiatives, documenting activities, touch points, rewards/gifts, etc.
* Meet or exceed key performance indicators as determined by the Director
* Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree required
* Have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports
* Be self-directed and able to work independently and with integrity
* Able to work non-traditional hours
* Possess a positive team-first attitude, competitive desire to success, and desire to learn
* Excellent personal and professional communication skills
* Strong time management and organizational skills
