Full Time Unpaid Internship
Winter/Spring 2019: January 7th-April 19th
The intern will help determine the best ways to use visual storytelling techniques and technology to bring stories to life on the internet. Using front-end (JavaScript, HTML and CSS) and back-end (Python) technologies, the intern will design and develop embedded graphics, standalone projects, reporting tools and analysis.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work quickly, accurately and under deadline
Experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, D3).
Strong web and social media design skills
Data analysis, visualization and back-end programming (Python or similar) skills a plus
A digital portfolio is required for consideration. If possible, also include a link to your GitHub profile. (If sharing via GitHub is not an option for you, please provide us another way to evaluate your technical skills. This might entail sharing a side project, writing up how you approached a project, or submitting a code sample in a different form.)
