Assistant to the Executives // No Label Productions // A Baron Davis Company
No Label is a full-scale production company that creates film, television and video content through key collaborations with premium brands and emerging talent. We are seeking an efficient and proactive Assistant to the Executives to support the company's executive team: Executive Director (NBA All-Star Baron Davis), the VP of Production (Jenna Cavelle), and the VP of Development (Carl Reid).
Duties include, but are not limited to, being the above-the-line point person, appointment scheduling in conjunction with other staff, supervising office management, and recording and transcribing meeting minutes.
The ideal candidate has a passion for filmmaking, is detail-oriented, has a strong work ethic, and is able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Moreover, a background in producing and/or writing is highly desired. Candidate must be highly trustworthy and employ appropriate security measures to protect high profile company founder, Baron Davis.
Salary will be $45-60k per year depending on the candidate's qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining executives' calendars by planning and scheduling meetings and conferences, and working with other schedulers both internally and externally.
- Recording and transcribing minutes of meetings with agencies, business executives, and industry talent.
- Managing and organizing the company rolodex and content inventory.
- Writing script coverage and designing project decks.
- Scouting talent at film schools and industry events.
- Travel with executives when required.
- Maintain internal and external project tracker.
- Draft and send emails from executive accounts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred.
- Should have a wide-range of technical skills, including proficiency in using Adobe Photoshop/Suite, Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting, Final Draft, Google Calendar, iCloud Calendar, Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, as well as operating a DSLR and basic sound recording gear.
- Highly organized with superior written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Must know how to create project decks for film, tv, digital projects using Photoshop with fast turn-around (sometimes same day). Samples should be submitted along with resume.
- Motivated, organized, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, take initiative, and manage time efficiently.
- Must have a 'can do' attitude and make yourself available to support other staff when needed. No
task to big or small.
- Must have a basic understanding of sports, in particular basketball.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MFA in film production, journalism, entertainment law, entertainment business, or English literature.
- Agency experience and/or internship experiences for a production company or agency.
- Superior proficiency using the entire Adobe Suite.
- A deep understanding of story, screen writing, and filmmaking.
- Film production experience and line producing skills.
