Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis Programming
The Senior Director, FP&A Programming is a vital role to the success of the finance group. Contributing as a leader within this newly structured team, you will be challenged to improve existing and build new best-in-class processes that include both domestic and international markets. Your primary areas of focus will include financial project management for your dedicated client groups; providing insightful and actionable analysis to the executive team; budgeting and forecasting; strategy implementation; work flow management and compliance. We will also consider candidates qualified to enter our team at the Director level. You will manage a team of two and report into the VP, Programming Finance.
Responsibilities
• You drive global portfolio analytics –by utilizing/enhancing current systems or new technologies where necessary
• You are developing meaningful content reporting analytics packages (periodic and ad hoc) for worldwide programming
• You are establishing and feeding back ROI metrics on content investments
• You are influencing management, both brand and corporate, toward impactful and results-oriented decision making.
• You create detailed C&M analysis for all FP&A processes
• You develop KPI’s to measure content investment performance including the programming scorecard
• You work with research and business intelligence teams to establish a correlation between content spending, utilization, rating and revenues
• You provide C&M monthly analytical package to brands head, strategy and finance management
• You build and maintain dynamic relationships with Viacom/VMN to maintain awareness of KPI’s and other enterprise metrics
• You exercise strong analytical skills to deliver timely, accurate, and effective analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement
• Manage a team of two
Basic Qualifications
• 6 years of finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred
• Superior Microsoft Office, particularly Excel skills that include detailed and automated modeling abilities
• Expertise in budgeting, analytical, and strategic planning a must
Additional Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate and successfully work with senior operating and finance executives
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills, a self-starter with a sense of urgency
• Knowledge of SAP or similar system
• Knowledge of the Entertainment Industry is a plus
