As part of the Viacom Velocity team, Nickelodeon Velocity (NV) is the recognized global leader in the Kids & Family space, a distinguished team of youth culture experts, thought leaders, and content creators dedicated to making the world a more playful place. We develop industry-leading custom marketing campaigns, leveraging the network’s shows and characters for advertising clients.
The NV team is looking for a Producer to conceptualize, write, produce, and execute outstanding promotions for various entertainment brands. The ideal candidate is a hard-working, creative professional able to excel in a fast-paced and constantly changing organization.
The role reports into the Group Creative Director/VP of Entertainment. We are open to this role being based in our Los Angeles or NYC office.
Responsibilities
• Ideating, scripting and producing the linear spots, digital content and social posts from conception to completion
• Producing custom live action shoots and directing movie press junkets with A-list talent
• Overseeing and producing shoots with external vendors, including storyboards, shot list, art direction, pre-production call and providing on set creative direction
• Hiring freelancers and outsourcing work to external vendors. Overseeing their daily workload and ensuring they stay on brand, time, and budget
• Selecting top agency directors and production vendors to shoot and direct live action executions
• Managing the routing process between internal stakeholders on the creative and marketing teams to ensure client expectations are managed on a daily basis
• Working with project management to build production schedules and ensuring the team and vendors stick to the project’s timeline and budget
• Overseeing post production including edit sessions, sound design and mix, color correction and graphics work
• Developing custom graphic packages with vendors
• Oversees all of the team’s brainstorms, ideates concepts, writes concepts and pitches ideas, while making sure all ideas fit into the assigned budget
• Supervising the team’s work including reviewing, editing and providing copy revisions to their concepts and scripts as well as cuts prior to content being routed to Creative Director
• Mentoring junior team members to develop and hone their production skills
• Presenting and pitching concepts and scripts directly to clients. Clients include numerous movie studios including Paramount, Fox, Sony, Universal, etc.
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years producing experience
• Knowledge of TV production software, including Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects and other production-related programs
• Ability to travel
