The Manager, TV Analytics is a part of the Nickelodeon Analytics team, playing a key part in supporting programming and content decision-making across the organization. The Manager is an important resource to the VP and Director, serving as an internal expert on Nielsen ratings datasets and as a leading contributor on various analyses and recurring projects. The ideal candidate has a combination of strong analytical and presentation skills and works well independently and as part of a larger team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the production of recurring ratings reports and all standard weekly and monthly updates
• Independently manage ad hoc requests and produce custom ratings research analyses
• Provide support to all lines of businesses including programming, marketing, consumer products, press and finance
• Create thoughtful and innovative analyses that will help optimize programming strategies and ratings
• Develop and manage SVOD/VOD reports for executive stakeholders
• Monitor kids landscape through industry trade and TV data software
• Serve as an expert on the Nickelodeon brands and their competitive sets
• Provide leadership and direction to analysts
Basic Qualifications
• 4 years experience in cable/broadcast TV ratings research - programming research a must
• Expertise with Nielsen NPower
Additional Qualifications
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Strong presentation skill set (creating slides that clearly communicate findings and the ability to effectively present in various settings)
• Self-starter who works well both independently and within a group dynamic
• Previous experience using StarMedia Lake 5 and Rentrak (comScore On-Demand Essentials) a plus
• Highly organized, able to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Deep interest and knowledge of the changing TV landscape
• Strong quantitative skill set and comfort with large data sets, paired with the ability to succinctly communicate findings
