As the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for creating accurate and timely accounting reviews and reporting of Viacom consolidated financial results and Media Networks divisional financial results. You will be directly manage a Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting and will report the Vice President, Worldwide Financial Reporting.
Responsibilities
• You assist in quarterly and annual external SEC financial reporting process on Forms- 10-K and 10-Q, of a large accelerated filer, within tight deadlines as part of the team working on preparation of financial statements, drafting footnote disclosures, compiling related analytics and ensuring adequate support and documentation through the interaction with finance and operational teams at the divisions
• You prepare financial statement analysis for communications for senior management presentations and audit committee meetings
• You utilize strong analytical skills to prepare various P&L documents, including Notable P&L Items, and Over/Under schedules
• You build and analyze consolidated statement of cash flow statement, divisional cash flows, cash flow flash and cash flow and working capital driver analytics
• You prepare and review financial information for quarterly earnings release and presentations in coordination with Corporate Communications, Legal and Investor Relations teams
• You prepare and review trending schedules
• You are overseeing the coordination of divisional and departmental quarterly management representation letters and communication of exceptions to the Viacom Controller and Viacom Legal
• You assist with ad hoc Viacom and internal management requests and financial reporting projects
• You ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley
• You will work with external auditors during quarterly and year end reviews and audits in preparing information requests and addressing inquires
• You are responsible for developing, guiding and supporting one direct report, Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting
• 5 years relevant experience
• CPA required

• Prior Big Four experience a plus
• Prior entertainment & media experience a plus
• MS Office experience
• Experience with Workiva, SAP, Longview and HFM a plus
