Overview and Responsibilities
Seeking a motivated, diligent self-starter to join the Nickelodeon Programming Team. Oversee Program Planning & Scheduling for Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, and 3 Nickelodeon Pluto TV channels (AVOD). Plan and implement content strategy for Nickelodeon Cross-Platform including Nick APP/.COM, and VOD. This is a hybrid role with 50% of time split between remote deep-focused work and in-office collaborative work.
• Plan all phases of the Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, and Nick Pluto schedules, including series launches, long range planning, episode premiere rollouts, stunt ideation and short-term schedule and ratings management.
• Lead the management of Nickelodeon programming inventory, including working closely with production teams on series and episode, delivery dates, episode rollouts, etc.
• Monitor and evaluate linear ratings and share, while developing and carrying out strategies to increase viewership.
• Manages team of two people with one direct report.
• Brainstorm and develop comprehensive programming support plans across the Nickelodeon ecosystem in support of key company-wide initiatives.
• Partner with counterparts in Media Planning to implement programming schedules that optimize the viewing experience.
• Communicate schedule and Programming information and strategy across various key departments and partners.
• Oversee the tracking of competitive programming and industry news and trends.
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in program scheduling or content strategy at a broadcast or cable network or AVOD
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel (formulas), PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledgeable of Nielsen ratings
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with internal partners
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Data driven decision making; keen interest in analytics
