CG Generalist (Previs & Unreal Experience) Max & the Midknights

Summary:
The CG Generalist for Max and the Midknights will work closely with our Directors and Story Team to create cinematic camera moves, layout blocking animation, and visualize lighting to create a previs cinematic for animation reference. Prospective candidates should be well organized, have a good understanding of film (composition, staging, continuity editing), and experience working with CG cameras, basic character motion, and lighting in Unreal Engine or similar software.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Director to film scenes within Unreal Engine.
• Plan, create, and finesse 3D cameras and shots within Unreal Engine.
• Render and deliver dailies to editorial.
• Revise and re-render shots as needed to address creative notes.
• Organize and keep track of assets needed for story callouts.
• Be knowledgeable about our pipeline to ensure accurate workflow across departments.
• Communicate and uphold pipeline standards.
• Various duties assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of continuity filmmaking and familiarity with film language.
• Must have production experience with one or more DCCs such as Unreal Engine, Maya, Blender, etc.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have phenomenal interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines and work directly with teammates on a daily basis.
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience in a cinematic Unreal Engine pipeline.
• Real world camera experience (live action film/photography).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Weekly Hiring Salary Range: $1430.8 - 1650.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
