We're looking to add a Graphic Designer to our quickly expanding Creative Team at NextVR. We need someone who has a passion for innovation and can draw from experience and conventions across all other forms of media to create something fresh and new for virtual reality. Our team works on a vast variety of live action VR experiences, so on a given day you might jump from designing stats displays for sports highlights to marquees for live music to logos for a paranormal investigation experience to promotional images for nature documentaries. We're looking for someone that is excited about tackling the many challenges that come along with working in a fast-developing medium and that can execute what is asked while looking for opportunities to go above and beyond what is required. If you want to work with a passionate team of creatives and play an integral part in the industry-defining work that NextVR creates every day, send us your portfolio and let's talk!
VR Graphic Designer reports to VFX Supervisor, Chas Naylor, and is part of the Creative Team.
Primary Responsibilities -
Collaborate with Creative Team, Marketing, and Producers in a fast-paced, iterative, and developing environment.
Both create & follow Design references and direction to create Graphics that work on an Aesthetic level, while being able to execute certain technical VR-related tasks.
Accept multiple points of input and execute relevant, appealing designs that directly engage our users and potential users.
Adhere to an ever-changing, turbulent production schedule, including being mindful of task lists, deadlines, schedules, & milestones.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in relevant visual design industry.
An in-depth understanding of typography is an absolute must.
A keen understanding of design, in multiple forms (Graphic Design, Motion Design, 3D Design)
Full working knowledge of primary Adobe Creative Suite of products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required; understanding of video-based Adobe products (After Effects, Premiere) is a strong plus.
A basic understanding of 3D DCC Software (C4D, 3dsMax, Maya) is a strong plus.
Marketing and agency design work are a plus
BFA or equivalent degree/work experience required
VR/360 experience is a BIG plus, but not absolutely required. A passion for the infinite creative possibilities that VR offers along with an excitement for the challenges it presents is required, however.
