Part Time Unpaid Internship
NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is looking for talented, passionate, and dedicated people to help run our monthly Film Festivals in Downtown Los Angeles. The position would require the intern to greet and get to know public and invited attendees, data-wrangle via surveys and promote NFMLA's messages about inclusive cinema and opening up opportunities for emerging filmmakers.
Interns will have the opportunity to meet talented filmmakers from around the world, network with huge industry professionals, mix and mingle with other film lovers and gain a first-hand look at how to run a film festival.
Most of NFMLA's Film Festivals will be held at the South Park Center in Downtown Los Angeles (1139 S. Hill Street, Los Angeles 90015). Parking is available at 1133 S. Olive Street, 90015 (validations are provided).
*The only exceptions are NFMLA's Latinx and Hispanic Film Festival in September and Middle Eastern Film Festival in December, which are both sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Academy Awards). The Latinx and Hispanic Film Festival event will be located at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills and the Middle Eastern Film Festival will be at the Pickford Center in Hollywood.
NFMLA asks that interns help out from about 6:00PM - 11:00PM. There will a short orientation given at 5:30PM, and it is vital that our interns do not miss this. Dinner will also be provided at each event. If Interns are available to stay for breakdown that would be a big help, however, it is not required.
We look forward to working with you!
