Description:
The Coordinator is responsible for maximizing ticket revenue through both new sales initiatives and rebooking. This position coordinates all operational objectives related to group stadium tours, including but not limited to, all day-to-day tour operations, creation of new sales and advertising initiatives, handling of customer service and contracts in conjunction with the group tours.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Generate new revenue through sales with a concentration on group sales revenue through cold calling, in-person appointments and prospecting
• Responsible for the growth of existing group relationships in order to maximize spend and generate repeat business
• Network and develop relationships with tour operators and concierges in the NY Metro area
• Coordinate and execute all aspects of the group tour including scheduling, invoices, tracking and processing of all monies
• Print and distribute all tour tickets to groups and individuals
• Create and review monthly sales reports
• Provide excellent customer service
• Field incoming calls related to sales and service for individual tour ticket purchasers or groups
• Sell, book and execute individual tour ticket inquiries as needed
• Work with Stadium Operations and Security on approved routes and operations
• Help coordinate events at the Stadium and off-site, as needed
• Assist internal departments with tours for their clients
• Attend team and community events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities
• Exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
• Conduct public Stadium tours as needed
• Assist with the coordination of part-time tour guides on a daily basis
• Maintain CRM records for group customers and prospects
• Other projects assigned by the Executive Director of Non-Baseball Events
Qualifications and Experience:
• 1-2 years of sales experience within the sports industry
• Bachelors Degree in Sports Management, Business or related field
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong interest in baseball history
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Flexible work schedule and ability to work in an outside stadium environment
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and Microsoft Dynamics
• Proficiency in Ticketmaster Archtics Ticketing System preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft CRM database preferred
