ROLE SUMMARY:
Manager will oversee Sales Reps focused on selling Groups to all properties at Madison Square Garden. Manager will oversee day-to-day sales activities as it relates to maximizing group sales revenue. The person in this position will be accountable for implementing department business plans designed to meet and exceed annual group sales goals.
RESPONSIBLITIES
• Responsible for hiring, training, motivating and coaching all Inside Sales representatives
• Monitor the growth of sales reps, provide guidance and leadership to maximize production and help meet all department sales goals
• Participate in sales calls, tours and outside appointments when needed to help maximize sales
• Conduct consistent training sessions and role plays to develop sales skils, product knowledge and proficiency in our ticketing systems
• Establish accountability metrics, including daily performance trackers, sales pipeline, sales activities to help monitor success against daily/weekly goals and expectations
• Responsible for creation of marketing and sales materials needed for all group sales initiatives
• Recommend, implement, and administer processes and protocols to enhance sales operations
• Organize and maintain weekly/monthly/annual sales reports
• Responsible for developing and implementing new group sale programs and initiatives
• Acquire best practices from other group sales department contacts to help identify trends and successful group sales opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 years results oriented group sales experience required
• Management experience preferred
• New York marketplace knowledge preferred
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary
