JOB SUMMARY:
The Events Assistant supports the events host and marketing department by covering campus-wide events, including but not limited to mixers, student appreciation events, Q&A events with industry professionals, and annual graduations. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and creative atmosphere that is focused on providing services to our diverse students and staff from around the world. The position is In-Office Position.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-
day duties required of this position may vary.
Help organize the logistics and plan production needs for events
Answer phone calls and emails for the purpose of assisting the Event Host
Zoom and A/V setup and assistance, as needed
Attends the live events and writes corresponding blog within 24 hours of event
Consolidates and shares confirmed/approved event information
Source and act as a point of contact with event talent/guests
Update blog content in advance of and following events
Coordinate with other events team members before and during events
Other duties as assigned by Director of Marketing and Sr. Operations Director
Available to assist during standard work hours as well as on nights and weekends, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience writing blogs
Minimum of 1-2 years coordinator or customer service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Public speaking proficiency a plus
Organized and highly attentive to detail
Independent, self starter
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
