Network 10 currently has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the team in a newly created role. The role will provide support to Financial and Business colleagues and assist in financial planning as well as promoting financial discipline to evaluate, budget and actively manage the financial discipline for technology, strategic services and HC & compensation organizations. The Analyst will provide senior management with financial reporting and analysis to be used for strategic and tactical decision-making, long range financial plans, annual operating plan and forecast cycles. The Analyst will support stakeholders across the business in interpreting and understanding financial performance to drive business results.
About the role:
• Responsible for managing the Technology, Strategic Services, Compensation Forecast, Annual Operating Plan, and Long-Range Plan in collaboration with business partners and Finance colleagues aligned with the Company's fiscal calendar. Plans must align to corporate deliverables and timeline, be accurate and tied to financial strategic targets.
• Managing the capital planning process, coordinating with Financial and Business colleagues and ensuring all submissions are on-time.
• Preparation of monthly reporting, including P&L variance analysis vs budget/forecast
• Preparation of reporting and analysis of capital expenditure submission vs prior estimates.
• Manage the planning system and support budget owners in inputting the data correctly.
• Help prepare and consolidate various ad hoc analysis, reports and information requests.
• Partner with the finance and human resource teams to collect accurate information and input data into financial and human resource systems.
• Maintain accurate and up to date headcount and compensation data within the planning tool.
• Compare data to budget and approved headcount metrics and report variances to business partners and leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
About you:
• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a broad range of accounting functions and/or private accounting experience
• Experience working with a general ledger (Oracle) and financial reporting systems.
• Intermediate to advance excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience of a media technology landscape an advantage.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Well organised with strength in prioritising.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, Internet Explorer, MS Project, MS SharePoint)
