We are seeking a Return to Work Specialist/Workers Compensation Coordinator to work with our growing Risk management team. In this role, you will work on all aspects of Return to Work with our self insured and insured program globally. This individual would be responsible for implementing and monitoring individualized return to work plans and engage in the interactive process. The position also includes supporting the day-to-day administrative duties within the team. The ideal candidate would be able to establish and maintain caring, compassionate and professional working relationships with the injured workers to support their recovery to an early and successful return to work.
Responsibilities:
• Main point of contact for our Return to Work. Communicate work restrictions to manager to help coordinate modified duty work or a transitional work assignment and assure manager complies with said work restrictions.
• Collaborate cross functionally between internal Netflix teams and productions to efficiently socialize our return to work initiative.
• Analyze all new incident reports and be sure all paperwork is completed.
• Report all claims to TPA and maintain log of new claims.
• Manage accidents log and Osha Logs.
• Partner with production and HR to create any new Job Analysis. Send job analysis to the TPA/doctor to manage a timely return to work.
• Assess needs for ergonomic evaluations .
• Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments, managers and primary treating physicians.
• Work with partners on concurrent leaves of disability (FMLA).
• Manage relationships with primary treating physicians at time of follow up visit to obtain work status and work restrictions.
• Communicate to employee in writing if we can or cannot accommodate and inform TPA.
• Collaborate cross functionally with HR and/or Legal Team on any RTW or employment issues to be sure we are in compliance.
• Apply for self insured certification for all new productions/LLC's (GA, NY and CA only) and maintain follow up and records for all self insured certifications.
• Be in attendance for quarterly claim reviews with the third party administrator(TPA).
• Request wage statements from payroll company and send to TPA.
• Obtain personnel records and send to the TPA.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred
• 5 plus years in Workers Comp Claims handling and/or Risk Management/Return to Work roles
• Knowledge of CA and NY and another other jurisdictions
• Knowledge of the Return to Work process as it pertains to Worker's Compensation and other leaves of absences.
• Self Insured Certification in Workers Compensation
• Production/entertainment experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Innovative mentality with proven examples from previous employment
• Excellent Organizational Skills
