Netflix is the leading streaming platform in the world and is quickly becoming a prolific creator of exciting, entertaining, and thoughtful content. As we continue our transformation to a next-generation studio and expand our streaming service's global footprint, we need to understand and source the best possible vendors for production, post-production services, and localization.
This position is ideal for someone looking to play a major role in the transformation of the entertainment industry. Netflix desires to build deep and meaningful relationships with our post partners and you will be a part of making that happen. You will play an integral role in making Netflix the most efficient and effective digital platform on which to deliver the assets of our Studio and Content Partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work very closely to support the activities of the Vendor Relations Program Manager for the Americas.
• Research and build an active database of new production and post production vendors and market rates, with specific focus on the Americas.
• Following up with vendors on delivery rejections, questions and meeting requests.
• Assist in organizing large events for vendors at events such as NAB, Shadow Days, etc.
• Investigating new systems and tools to help make workflows more efficient.
• Analyzing metrics and reports of vendors to influence change.
• Sorting through invoices and data points to get market analysis.
• Organizing contracts, surveys, documents, charts for streamlining input of info.
• Assist in travel plans/logistics and research for vetting trips.
• Possible international travel to vet vendors.
• Special projects to be assigned to support the activities of the Global Vendor Relations team.
Key Attributes:
• Knowledge of dubbing, subtitling, media processing, A/V production and post workflows.
• Deep understanding of analytics, data management, and project management.
• History of building vendor and customer relationships.
• Teamplayer who is also able to work independently and make sound judgment calls.
• Ability to multitask, be flexible, and thrive in challenges.
• Interest in new technology that promotes forward thinking, efficiency, and scalability.
• Able to communicate and work alongside engineering and technology groups easily.
• Comfortable using or learning tools such as Zendesk, Google Sheets, and proprietary Netflix systems.
• Multiple language skills a plus.
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
