The Program Manager - US Benefits position is part of the Employee Services team within Talent. We have a unique approach to our benefits philosophy here at Netflix, developing and delivering programs that support our freedom and responsibility culture. In a culture that supports creativity and innovation as a key competency, this position will have the responsibility of applying the same method of thinking towards the strategy and delivery of a innovative benefit offering for our talent.
This role can be based out of our Los Gatos or our Los Angeles office.
Your Responsibilities:
• You will work with internal and external partners to evaluate, recommend and implement other meaningful benefit programs which complement our culture, the way we work, and continue to attract and retain stunning talent.
• You will oversee annual renewals, develop and communicate recommendations to ensure our programs continue to be competitive and effective, and thoroughly understand the compliance landscape that governs US benefits.
• You will lead our annual open enrollment for benefits in the US by partnering with internal and external partners to ensure deadlines are met, systems are prepared for enrollment, final plan pricing and configuration, communications to employees and general support and training.
• You will need to build and maintain a strong network of peers at Netflix and at other companies in our industry, to continuously stay abreast of what is happening.
• At Netflix, we don't like to get bogged down in audits, reporting and compliance. We would rather focus on innovation and simplicity. That said, we are of course mindful and respectful of the fact that in benefits, these are necessary to the health of our plans. You will oversee these important functions and ensure we are adhering to all the requirements that keep our plans in check.
To be successful:
• You've done this before. 8 years of benefits experience with knowledge of relevant best practice and compliance requirements. You have developed and implemented benefit programs at entertainment and/or technology organizations.
• Passion. Our employees are top priority, and enabling an amazing employee experience as a consumer of our benefits programs is your main guiding principle.
• You are committed to excellence. You hold our vendors accountable by negotiating reasonable fees and ensuring our employees are receiving top-notch service. You are able to approach benefits design with a deeply analytical and curious mind to take in many data points and provide summaries and actionable recommendations. You have a strong attention to detail while also seeing the big picture. You engage in a consultative approach with HRBPs and Generalists and other key stakeholders to ensure our programs are designed and delivered with excellence.
• Collaborative. You have the ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams (Legal, Payroll, FP&A) understanding there is not one single voice making decisions. You actively seek feedback on our benefits from across the business.
• Creative. You lean into ensuring our benefits reflect the Netflix freedom and responsibility culture. While you utilize your network and expertise to understand common practices, you approach benefits programs with a fresh lens unique to our culture.
• Unfazed. You have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with business executives. You are comfortable working in a culture that values candor, transparency and courage.
