Netflix is building a next-generation studio and attracting the world's best storytellers. The post production group is at the epicenter of pioneering new techniques and innovations in capturing those artist's creative intent and sharing it globally to millions. With great growth and evolution, comes the need set context, shift thinking, and expand understanding.
Netflix is looking for a strategic leader within the Post Partnerships & Integrations Group to oversee an educational and outreach framework that maximizes our efforts to engage with the external post production communities like; honorary societies, manufacturers of hardware and software, institutions of higher learning focused on filmmaking, post production vendors, industry media, awards committees and the creative artist themselves.
Working cross functionally, you will seek to find the gaps in understanding both internally and externally in the post community regarding Netflix's current and future efforts to protect creative intent. Once armed with these insights, you will set a strategic plan leveraging events, press (working with internal Netflix PR teams), social media, white papers, panel placement and other outreach efforts to close those gaps with better industry context. You'll be leading a strong existing team as they look to grow their impact in the space and drive real change in the evolving post landscape.
Sample efforts include; placing Netflix SMEs on industry panels at IBC, NAB, and other events, overseeing several internal training programs on Post Production, overseeing a guest speaker program showcasing creative talent in the post sector to Netflix employees, ensuring below-the-line post talent is represented and supported at awards presentations and festivals, overseeing the annual strategy around society sponsorships, hosting social events for Netflix post partners and growing a pipeline of new talent through higher education partnerships. You will cultivate relationships with the global post production community as we build the most artist friendly studio in the world.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a strong team of outreach professionals to establish a strong support program for Netflix's post production organization.
• Gap analysis of current and desired levels of technology and best practices understandings.
• Strong strategic planning to analyze best opportunities to meet goals.
• Create favorable business partnerships with associations, honorary societies, marketing groups of manufacturers, universities and other professional groups.
• Oversee awards support efforts for talent in the below-the-line post categories.
• Establish and oversee internal post training program to keep department/company, including cross-functional teams such as legal and engineering informed on post evolutions and innovations.
• Facilitate social events on behalf of the post verticals for creative talent and industry groups.
• Manage the Netflix Post Group's social media engagement, facilitating the platform cross-functionally.
Desired Experience:
• Experience with strategic partnerships.
• Experience establishing a strategic plan and then managing a team executing that plan.
• International business experience.
• Energetic and versatile in a dynamic work environment.
• Understanding of post production industry tools.
• Experience leveraging metrics to frame desired outcomes, data review, and analysis.
• Ability to clearly communicate and interact with multi-functional partners.
• Willingness and aptitude to educate both internally facing and externally facing entities with varying degrees of knowledge in your area of expertise.
• Experience in global relationship building.

Extra Credit:
• MA or MFA in filmmaking.
• Post Production experience.
• Membership/experience with industry groups (SMPTE, HPA, NATAS, AMPAS).
