Netflix is seeking a Mobility Tax Manager to join its Tax Team. The Mobility Tax Manager will help guide the company and our employees through the complex web of international individual income and employment tax laws. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills as well as attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Partner cross-functionally to educate and advise stakeholders and our employees on mobility tax matters
• Assist candidates and employees understand the tax implications of relocating to a new country
• Assist the payroll team to ensure proper compensation reporting
• Assist recruiters, HR business partners, and the mobility team in designing the business travel, assignment, or transfer packages for each mobile employee
• Prepare technical and implementing guides on a variety of mobility tax matters
• Assist in developing a library of resources to have available to support our mobile employees
• Manage, guide, and assist our external tax services provider
Qualities we're looking for:
• Ability to analyze and understand complex technical rules while being able to provide practical guidance in an easy to understand manner
• Expert understanding of US and California outbound and inbound individual income tax rules
• Operational understanding of the individual and employer tax rules in countries such as the Netherlands, Singapore, Brazil, Japan, the UK, and other Netflix locations
• Firm understanding of the interplay between individual and employer tax rules with the corporate tax rules from an international perspective
• Able to analyze, evaluate, and make decisions with our risk profile in mind
• Able to navigate ambiguity and rapid change
• Self-starter with good judgement and strong organization and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact cross-functionally and with external advisors
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting
• 6 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting and/or a corporate environment
• Big 4 mobility tax experience a plus
