The Role
The Manager will play a key role in supporting the growing global publicity team and specifically
the Written Communications team, helping to craft messaging and strategy around Netflix's film
and series slate. This includes but is not limited to:
- Writing newsletters, production notes, film synopses, filmmaker Q&A's, speeches,
talking points, op-eds, press releases, media statements, and other documents like
biographies, fact sheets and additional materials as needed.
- Develop messaging and talking points for media interviews and speaking opportunities
- Coordinate across departments to accomplish goals
- Provide big-picture thinking and leadership to continuously elevate and promote Netflix's
film & series initiative
The role requires a seasoned candidate who is results-oriented, a strong writer and not afraid to
roll-up their sleeves and get into the thick of things. This Manager-level role will have past
experience in writing or journalism, preferably with deep experience in the entertainment
industry. They will have experience in communicating with executives, filmmakers, talent and
talent representatives. They can anticipate messaging needs and move projects forward
quickly and are able to meet fast-breaking deadlines.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for Writer/Editor will have at least 7 years of entertainment
experience in a studio, network, agency or journalism setting. Background in
Communications/Corporate Communications preferred. BA/BS required. Writing samples are
also required.
Compensation
Netflix offers an attractive compensation package consisting of base salary, stock options, 401K
(with match), comprehensive benefits and relocation.

different levels. Is strong on detail and highly organized.

Keeps things simple. Knows that global communications can be made complex---and will resist
and prevent that.

An independent thinker willing and able to express and support a point of view.
Pace
Moves at a nice clip and enjoys having multiple projects going at once. Can change course, be
scrappy and get things done within short time frames.

Has sound judgment, and will question actions inconsistent with company values.
