As Netflix increases its investment in original content production around the world, the volume and scale necessitates that we stay ahead of the curve and develop new ways to solve challenges. The Post Production Systems & Innovation team seeks a Manager to partner with our Vendor Management and Creative Technologies & Infrastructure Group to develop workflows that help scale efficiently and effectively.
The Opportunity
Netflix is the world's leading internet entertainment service with 125 million memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on any internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments.
The Role
The Manager, Systems and Innovations (S&I) is responsible for helping optimize Creative Technology and Partnerships areas to ideate, quantify and prioritize innovations development. S&I will work with internal teams to gather requirements and partner with engineering PMs to prioritize development efforts. This team will help drive common goals and aim to collaborate closely with engineers - we want to foster innovation, not owning every tech related initiative. When appropriate, S&I will lead Citizen Developer efforts on behalf of a team to help propel the creation and adoption of emerging technology and tools developed internally and externally. S&I will support internal teams in creating project plans with high level milestones, identify interdependencies and planning or user acceptance testing.

It is critical that the person in this role be able to take a step back and see the field of opportunities and connect dots for everyone around them. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, effective communication and able to exercise good judgment and initiative.
Qualifications:
• 8 years of experience working in TV/Film Operation industry, focusing on operations, vendor management or consulting production companies.
• Strong understanding of post production workflows technology; DI, Editorial, Audio, QC, Finishing/Mastering
• Familiarity with technical specification for modern camera equipment and display technologies, and the industry patterns related to these technologies
• Experience with vendor management and relations in the TV/Film space
• Ability to manage multiple large scale projects
• Strong organizational skills with proactive mentality
• Have creative problem-solving abilities
• Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
• Comfortable with a fast pace and constant change
• Basic knowledge of software development
• Experienced in VBA, JavaScript, Python, SQL a plus
• Ability to think outside of the box to develop solutions
• Ability communicate complex problems in a simple manner
• Team-player who operates in a fast paced team-oriented setting
