Manager, Screening Assets - Digital Production Assets & Delivery
As Netflix expands its global footprint, we are increasing our investment in original content production of all shapes and sizes, for all ages - from tentpole feature films and series, to documentary, comedy specials, unscripted, animation, and local language productions around the world. The Post Production Operations team seeks a Manager, Screening Assets to oversee the Screening Assets team as they create screening assets for theatrical and streaming viewers worldwide.
The Role
Manager, Screening Assets would lead the Screening Assets team as they partner with PR Screenings, Post Production, Production Technology as well as the content creators to successfully create and exhibit our original content on screens all over the world. This position would sit in Post Production Operations and report to Greg Barrett, Manager, Digital Production Assets & Delivery.
A successful candidate will be a seasoned post production executive with a solid understanding of theatrical exhibition and streaming video who will lead a screenings team across all content verticals. Self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot, thorough and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, an effective communicator, and able to exercise good judgment and initiative. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the Screening Assets team within Post Production Operations
- Create and review temporary and final screening assets as well as subtitled assets for International screenings
- Partner with Post Production teams and Production Technology to ensure we create the best possible experience as we meet or exceed our Netflix Technical Specifications
- Engage global Post Production vendors to provide assistance with asset creation with attention to budget, timelines and quality
- Partner with Post Production teams and vendors to help coordinate delivery of final filmmaker approved screening assets which take place all over the world
- Assist with global theater checks for key studio screenings
Qualifications:
• College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs
• 10 years of experience in post production or theatrical distribution and exhibition
• 5 Experience in leading and managing a team
• Ability to handle a heavy volume of work
• Strong organizational skills with proactive mentality
• Have creative problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with content creators and post production scheduling
• Knowledge of digital audio and video file formats
• Working knowledge of outside vendors including mix stages and DI facilities
• Working knowledge of International theatrical distribution
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented
• Ability to respond after hours for important, timely, or urgent matters
• Team-player who thrives in a fast paced, team-oriented setting
