Full Time Job
We are seeking a Production Operations Manager to support the growing department of Studios Operations. The position will calculate the risk of future enterprises, determine operational costs and analyze financial data as it relates to renting, purchasing and partnering with production vendors and service companies.
The applicant should be knowledgeable about film / tv production and possess a general understanding of studio operations. They should balance fluidity in thought with standardized finance principles in the pursuit of uncovering hidden opportunities in an emerging business landscape. The applicant should have a proven history of identifying business trends, comfortability in comparing/analyzing fundamentally vague and unknown elements and remain on a constant path of discovery.
Additionally, the applicant should possess an in-depth knowledge of optimizing workflows, production sourcing/procurement and retain a director level understanding of 'rent vs buy.'
The Role
A successful candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment and communication.
Qualification's?
• Established rapport with production vendors, facilities and film commissions
• Proven leadership experience, having managed teams in the corporate or production space
• Ability to think autonomously and strategically to develop overall business
• 10 years in a similar role, which customarily includes roles at consultant firms, film studios, accounting firms or technology companies
• Contract management, applied negotiation skills, business development
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
