Manager, Outreach & Engagement - Content Creative
Netflix Outreach & Engagement focuses on attracting and engaging Content Creative Development executives across all slates from underrepresented groups, as well as emerging talent for Animated studio projects. The team builds employer brand awareness for prospective candidates by cultivating relationships with industry and creative practitioners for programming and event opportunities. Our strategies support hiring content executives in film, series, unscripted, animation, stand-up, and casting.
The Manager of Content Creative will partner closely with O&E Events & Media colleagues, Content Talent Acquisition, Publicity, Communications, Internal Corporate Events, Content Inclusion Strategy, Inclusion Recruiting Programs, Talent Operations, and the Content business. They will manage the overall strategy for attracting and engaging candidates, and help to implement candidate matching and networking opportunities for creative talent attraction.
What You'll Do:
CANDIDATE NETWORKING ENGAGEMENT
• Work with Content Talent Acquisition to help respond to the specific hiring challenges within various creative verticals.
• Network with and identify creative executive candidates from underrepresented groups for various teams that are missing a diversity of voices.
• Keep a pulse on industry talent to be introduced to the Content teams to broaden their network.
• Help track and develop data and metrics around candidate progress for those who have been identified in pipelines.
• Take ongoing networking calls with potential content candidates and leads to assess where they can be pipelined across the content ecosystem.
• Serve as an advisor to Content TA as well as Content teams on candidates to watch or track.
EVENTS PROGRAMMING
• Identify the appropriate events and programming opportunities to address hiring challenges or gaps.
• Partner with O&E Events/Media pod colleagues to create a strategy for URG candidate engagement, as well as internal executive exposure and placement for external events.
• Partner with O&E Events/Media, Talent Ops & TA to manage candidate tracking from events to strategically pipeline.
• Represent Netflix for all Content-driven external org partnership opportunities that involve URG creative executive pipelining.
• Partner with Comms, PR, and External Affairs on strategically optimizing Netflix events that reach Content Creative candidates from URG.
STRATEGY
• Develop an overall strategy for moving the needle on increasing representation across content and forming the right partnerships and opportunities to accelerate inclusive hiring, while engaging internal and external executives.
• Partner with the Inclusion team to help troubleshoot hiring and candidate challenges within various content verticals.
• Spearhead initiatives and reporting that help advance these efforts.
What You'll Need:
• Experience in the UCANN film and television industry working with creative executives.
• Relationships with content creative executives and organizations that serve underrepresented groups.
• Experience partnering with a diverse range of creative internal stakeholders to foster impactful and inclusive industry networking.
• A pulse on entertainment industry networking events, specifically geared toward top diverse creatives.
• Experience with people management and leadership.
• A self-starter who is able to work independently, and under pressure, while consistently exercising sound judgement even when faced with ambiguity.
• Resourceful strategic thinker and creative problem solver - experience with recruiting, agencies, DEI, marketing/media, and events is a plus.
• Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and cultivate internal relationships.
• Agile with meticulous attention to details.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done with no ego.
